Township of Yulara in Central Australia?

As far as I know only staff can live at Yulara. Where Ayers Rock is belongs to the Aboriginal people and is leased by the Australian Government. It is classified as a National Park/sacred area (not 100% sure what it is actually classified as) but basically you cannot live there. Nearest township of any note is Alice Springs 4 hours drive away.

PS you wouldn't want to live there anyway unless the heat has fried your brain. Extremely hot in summer. Nothing for miles around and once you have seen the Rock you have seen it. It doesn't change. Prices at the resort are through the roof!!! Purely a tourist destination.

Yulara is not a township it is a resort complex about 20km from Uluru. People who live there permanently are involved with the resort or the airfield.
