Why are you asking the same question 3 times in 3 minutes?
That's a waste.
Hey... the bugs are good protein...
I doubt there's a problem.
My cats are barn cats and they do fine and I can't keep the water pristine clean.

The more hay in it, the more bacteria they're taking in, which isn't all that good.
Empty out the water every day, and put in fresh. Don't wait till the thing is out of water. It makes no sense to expose them to something they're not supposed to get in their systems, especially when they're still babies.
Bugs won't hurt them, it's more the hay and anything off the floor that's the problem.

Yes, I don't see why not. If you have kittens running around in the barn or wherever, you probably see them chasing bugs and stuff, which they eat if they chase. They hay they probably wont drink. You should get a tiny net or something though to fish out the bugs and hay whenever you notice that it's getting dirty, just in case.

would YOU drink that water? I dare you to! That's just mean and gross.
If you wouldn't drink it, your cats shouldn't have to, IMHO!
I would put the water bowl somewhere else where it is less likely to get contaminated with bugs & hay and whatever else gets in it.

Cats should be provided with clean, fresh drinking water on a DAILY basis. And the bowl (or other water receptacle) should be cleaned daily.

are you crazy!
The cat does just fine trying to keep itself healthy. Clean the container so YOU don't introduce bugs, bacteria and other foreign materials to its digestive tract.

no. I would recommend cleaning it. the flys can have bad bacteria and stuff that can harm the kittens.
