Ok I have one of these water feeders that lets out new water after they drink a sertain amount. And I dont refill it untill after its almost out. It gets bugs and hay in it. Is it alright for the kittens to drink?

I'd only fill half way each day and keep a pet umbrella or something to shield the container from debris. They CAN drink it --but they can drink out of the toilet too-- I'm sure you won't let them do that. Yes, the toilet may have germs and chemicals but how do you know if the bugs or debris contain some kind of disease? What about mosquito larvae? Try making a little screened tent with one side open or place the watering dispenser indoors on a back patio or utility room and put in a pet door just right for cats. You can also get pet-friendly yard sprays for the bug problem too.

Hey... the bugs are good protein...

I doubt there's a problem.
My cats are barn cats and they do fine and I can't keep the water pristine clean.
