I suffered myself and I waited along time. It ended up messing every thing up. I failed school, cried all the time and I would hate for any one else to go thought what I did. I told my parents face to face but it might help if you bring a friend with you. Talk to the friend first about it though. If you want more help just send an e-mail!

Its great that you want to talk to someone about how you are feeling. A parent would be a great place to start. How about jotting down some of your feelings and put it somewhere she might find it, if you aren't comfortable telling her face to face. Then, she can read it, and think before you both talk. If that isn't an option, is there maybe a friends parent or guidance counselor at school?

Good luck and take care of you!

Tell Mom you don't feel yourself lately and would like to go to the Dr. Tell the Dr. how you feel and if he says your depressed he'll tell Mom. That is if your a minor. If not then go to the Dr. and if he says your depressed then it's your busyness.. and you don't have to tell anyone. It's nothing to be ashamed of. It's a common problem. Good luck.

I have suffered from depression and panic attacks for 8 years, and have found that what helps me most is talking about it or reading up on it. Don't feel that you are alone either! You really do need to confide in someone that you are really close to, because you may need therapy or medication if it persists or worsens.
