I'm going to make an assumption here and say that you are Christian.
I am not - I do not believe Jesus is the Messiah, let alone the son of G-d.
My hope lies in G-d alone, he is my salvation and my desire. My hope and my trust, my love and my life.
I have dated and been engaged to atheists. They have told me that their hope is in living. That they place their hope in what they desire, what they do, what they achieve. That they place it in other people - to love them, care for them, and be with them. They place their hope in the idea that they can make a better society - to change the way we live. And since they only believe in this one life it is in that that they place their hope.

Are you actually concerned that non-believers have no hope? I don't think so - I think that you're absolutely not able to understand that other people don't need to feel like they are the reason that the universe exists.
There is plenty to be hopeful about in my life, and plenty of order, and plenty of things that are wondrous.
I have hope that we humans will *figure out* what what's in our best interest as a species, rather than fight over whose holy book contains the "answers".
I have hope that people will wake up to the magnificence of the universe, the wonder that life exists at all, and let that wonder make them kind and caring, because life itself is precious and astonishingly beautiful, as well as dangerous and frightening...
I have hope that more and more people will begin to ask the kinds of questions that cut through dogma and self-righteousness, and allow us to speak from the *experience* of being awed.
I have hope that people will someday really be adults.

Why do you think that your god is the only way that a person can have hope? You have a very limited experience of the human condition if that is the case. I recommend you start spending time around people who are different from you. Living in a bubble is unhealthy.

A good productive life for myself and my family. A good example for all who know me.
I am part of nature, just like all other living things. We come, we grow up, we reproduce the next generation, we die.
There is no mystery, no fairy-tales, no make believe - - just a natural passing away just as we were thousands of years ago.
My hope is that my family, my friends, my country, my world will prosper far into to future, even though I'll have no knowledge of it.

I hope I have a good day tomorrow. I hope my kids have all good days. I hope my bills get paid. I hope to be with my woman for a very long time. I hope to put a smile on some ones face today.
I believe in myself and i believe that people are basically good.

This one chooses to believe in the innate and natural goodness of all beings, each possessing what that one needs so as to reach enlightenment in this present life time, if not in this present moment.
Realizing that each is part of and not separatre from the whole of existence, when one becomes enlightened, that one creates beneficial change within the whole of the universe.
This helps all others in their journey to enlightnement.
through enlightnement, compassion, kindness and mindful awareness, all this will benefit.
May it all be well with you.

Hope in mankind.. Hope in the future.. Hope in logic... Hope that mankind will set aside differences..
Hope in my children and their ability to change the worlds around them in a unique and lasting way.. Hope in the little things...
There are many things to have hope in and hope for without the inclusion of what I consider a fictional deity..

A hope is a present desire for a future outcome. If somebody can have a desire, then they can have hope. The only real point of disagreement is over the source of that hope.

Sweetie you've got another one of the many common misconceptions. You do not need the lord in order to have hope. I have hope and faith in myself and my abilities as a good person to do good things.

I don't know what to hope for. However honestly, and I don't mean this to be offensive, I'm not willing to put my hope in a concept created by man.
