She is older (mid-60s), uneducated, and is obsessed with others' dress and appearance. She has also made remarks that are very mean and inappropriate to pregnant co-workers (she's never had a child). I have tried to avoid contact with her other than to say hi or bye. She went to my boss this morning and said that I refuse to be friendly with her. She is good at what she does and our jobs do not interact. On a personal level, she is disgusting (does not wash her hands after using the bathroom, nose picking, etc.). I truly go out of my way to avoid her. Is getting another job my only option?

your avoidance is the best way to deal with this person.
and make sure you tell the supervisor that you like your job here and just do not want any contact with the person. Do not make it personal. Just be objective. Say that the person approaches you and you prefer to remain yourself.
And if you want to leave, there's other jobs out her.
Hope you the best.

a rude person deserves to be treated rudely. Tell her directly she is rude, crude and you do not wish to have any contact that is not "Directly" business related.

Good luck
