1. Should i lose a few pounds? I am 15 years old, 5'3" and 118 pounds.
2. Also, i went to my doctor today and had a check-up. She said i am 50-75 percentile in weight, and 25-50 percentile for my height. Does that mean i'm too heavy for my height? :(

don't worry you are very healthy.

I am 5'5" weighing 115 and 15 as well.

I'm pretty healthy but I think I need to get my weight up a little.

But don't worry :) Be happy with the way you look!

No you don't need to loose weight. As far as percentiles, for your weight 50% weigh less that you and 25% weigh more than you and your height, 25% are shorter than you and 50% taller than you.Height you can't change, but weight can be worked on, so if a lot of girls are anorexic that brings the low end to a higher percent. So you are right in a nice place. I am sure it is really hard to be exactly 50% for height and 50% for weight, but that does not mean that is perfect but just the averages, and if you were overweight your doctor would have told you. 5'3" and 118 sound perfect, not skinny not fat--perfect!! Look on one of those chart ranges for height and weight and see where you fit in. But again--you are perfect!!

1] 25 to 50th percentile for height means 3/4 to 1/2 of other women your age are taller than you.
2] 50 to 75th percentile means 1/4 to 1/2 of women you age are heavier than you.
Normally , a person 5'3" should weigh between 107 and 135 pounds [ 19 to 24% BMI - body fat. ]
You are - Practically Perfect.

No, it absolutely does not mean you're too heavy for your height, what your doctor is talking about is your BMI [Body Mass Index]. You're in the healthy weight zone. So no need to worry!
