Why would you want to cheat on your taxes? It just is not worth the headaches. And don't you enjoy the benefits the government provides in security(food/water regulation, medicine, military defense, and etc.), highways, bridges, and etc.
Consider asking yourself, is cheating worth years in prison?
The most common tax cheats I have seen over the years, deals with illegal immigrates that work contract labor using false ID and social security information. When the contractors reports their income to the IRS, the IRS sends a letter to the contractor that the data is bogus. And tells them to get correct information and inform them of the changes or to start withholding taxes. I have seen them provide new SS cards and try and continue working for the same contractor. But usually they move on to another contractor.
Don't believe what some people will tell you, they do not pay taxes.
Of course there is always the criminal element that does not pay taxes.

If you don't think that the IRS doesn't lurk here, you're mistaken. And a question like that is all they'll need to get your details from Yahoo. Good luck with your audit!

The most common way is to over-claim deductions. Say you have a business, for which you spent 1000. It's easy to just say you spent 3000.

That is a really dumb question to be asking. The only reason to answer is if I wanted to join you in your new home.
