which religion is prominent in the area?
I'm curious because I'm planning to move there and don't want to move in a place where people are trying to shove various religions down my throat since I'm atheist, and yes people do try to do that.

My family lives in Yorba Linda. This is a White middle class neighbor with some integrated neighborhoods sprinkled along Orangethorp Ave. As I am not a religious person either, I understand how this is important. But ther are lots of Churches in Yorba Linda. The population is large enough and diverse enough that you will not find it difficult to live there. It is not like living in Salt Lake or Utah.
The Friends Church was the original church in the area. The Quakers originally bought the land from the Janss corporation in the early 1900's as a Quaker Colony.
That is way Richard Nixon's family bought a lemon grove and attempted farming in the area. Jessamyn West wrote her book Friendly Persuasion (that later became a movie) partially based on her experiences in Yorba Linda.
There is an active Friends church now but no one has ever tried the aggressive sales pitch. the Quakers have a strong belief system that enlightenment comes through information and education so the library is very nice and supported by the community.
Over all the quality of life is very good. Like everywhere else there is the Watchtower groupies but not very often.

People that lives in Yorba Linda would care less about what religion you are. And yes I know pople try to attack you in some way for believing in what you belive in, but I'm sure Yorba Linda people wouldn't mind. They have nice nighborhoods and pretty safe and nice too! So don't worry about it too much okay? :) You'll be fine!

Primarily WASP and don't worry they are not aggressive. People in YL generally leave well enough alone. There are sections of the city that actually feel like you are in the country and you can have as much privacy as you desire. good luck and have fun

wow...that is the LAST question I would be asking about a new place I was moving too. You must be pretty self conscious about your non-religious beliefs. Just go about your business and believe or don't believe whatever you want...don't think anyone cares!!
