It sounds like it may be eczema. Whatever the case may be, if you've had it for 3 weeks, it's time to see a doctor. You don't need to see a dermatologist. Your general practitioner will do.

You could try cleaning it.. and not put anything at all on it. Don't touch it or scratch it because that can make it worst.. If that doesn't work you should get it checked out.. by a doctor.. or like a dermatologist.

You might have psoriasis. It is a round patch of skin that is very dry, itchy and the skin keeps growing and looks like scales or plaques. Try using Neutragena T-Gel coal tar shampoo. Go to a dermatologist.

It could be psoriasis (the condition when skin cells multiply too fast). You should see dermatologist and check out www.psoriasis.org for info. Try to stay away from prescription drugs as they contain steroids which cause serious side-effects. For natural treatment consider anti-psoriasis cream and spray from champori.com. Worked extremely well and fast for me.
Best,

I would say it is eczema.Doctors can prescribe miracle creams for it.But in case you don't want to see a doctor, try:Aveeno Baby Soothing Relief Moister Cream(Not the regular Aveeno baby). This worked great for my kids and friends.

It sounds like ringworm. You better go have it checked by a doctor. If its ringworm (fungus) you will have to get a prescription cream to smear on it or it will not go away. You may be spreading it because you keep applying your own remedies.
