The picture kept getting darker and darker until I had the bright on as high as it will go. It looks like everyone on TV is in the dark. I suppose I should just toss the TV in the garbage because it would not pay to take it to a repairman. What happened to my TV picture?

with the price of tvs dropping all the time, it might just be cheaper to buy new than fix the old one

No it wouldn't be a bulb tv unless she watches a minimal amount of tv per year. My bulb went out in 7 months. Hers lasted four years? Don't think so. Can I ask what kind it was? widescreen? size? Go get a Samsung 30 inch widescreen. You'll be thrilled. It's the same price as having someone fix up your old one

if its one that has a light in the back your light prob. dyed out... you really are better off buying a new tv if this is the prob. it can cost a lot to replace
