La Caballota

It's a nickname and even though it's not correct Spanish, it can be translated as "the big female horse".

A male horse in Spanish is "caballo" and a "mare", or female horse, is a "yegua".

So the word is made up using the male word and making it female and adding the suffix that indicates "big" (ota).
