Are you suggesting the murder of at least 2-3 billion people? And you say religious people are scary?

If you didn't mean genocide, even though religious groups aren't technically include in its definition, then stop using volatile words like 'destroy.' That's dangerous talk in this day and age.

I feel your sentiments, though I will not advocate a violent approach to the elimination of religion. You did not clearly express that as your own intent; therefore, I will not criticize you as others have.

It would save lives not only in the physical sense, but in the mental and emotional senses as well. However, it is certain that, without religion, people would simply find other reasons to harm others en masse. The trouble is humans, not religion, as religion neither has to be used for evil nor has to be used at ALL. But humanity always chooses the negative...

It's been tried with millions killed in the 20th century.

Antitheists often get down to that bottom line of imposing their views by force.

More have been killed by inquisitions in the name of "freeing the world from the disease of religion" than by all the inquisitions and persecutions done in the name (but contrary to the ethics )of all the world religions in positions of power.

I want separation of atheism and secularist fundamentalisms and state even more than i want separation of church/mosque/shul/temple/chapel and state.

To destroy other people's religion is to presume that you are superior to everyone and have the power to dictate how others should think. Such people who think that they can dictate to sovereign citizens are a threat to society and are just as dangerous as any religious person who thinks he/she also has power to dictate rights. The eraser that you use to wipe out the rights of others will return to wipe out yours.

To be religious, is part of mans very nature. If you destroy all the existing religions. New one's with different philosophies and names will take over. Like, humanism, atheism and naturalism.

You will most certainly try.
Revelation 12;17 And the dragon grew wrathful at the woman, and went off to wage war with the remaining ones of her seed, who observe the commandments of God and have the work of bearing witness to Jesus.

What gives you the right to try and destroy religion? In the USA we have freedom of religion. If you dont like religion, dont join one, no one is forcing you to

Saving lives by destroying religion? Hmm....I assume that you mean that religion is killing people, so by eliminating it, people would not be killed by it. Interesting hypothesis, but not only is it improbable that you'd be able to 'forcibly' end religion, but that by doing so, lives that would've ended because of it wouldn't be....

No.. Some faiths are strengthened by persecution. You'd only start the next crusade.

How so.? You would have to kill at least half the earth's population. It's been tried before but NOTHING will stamp it out. We have God's promise on that.
