I would definetly do some research first before you go talk to a recruiter. Trust me they will try and hammer you in as fast as possible. Its best to know what field of work you want to go in that you could progress yourself into in the military and mostly outside in the civilian world. I enlisted in the Army and ship out Sept. 6 my job will be Human Resource Specialist. I wanted that job because I love the administrative type work of a company and making sure that policies and regulations are met at a company. In the civilian world I could work in HR eventually my long term goal is to be an HR director...so for me this field is a good start. I will take advantage of the experience that the Army provides to me and the education I plan on obtaining. So you see you have to know what you want FIRST and then start looking.......hope this helps. =)

Go to your local Army recruiting office and talk to someone concerning the possibility of joining up. You can also go to www.goarmy.com. That is the main army recruiting website. Check it out.

Meet with a recruiter and research the committment you are about to make. It is a serious decision and committment. If you are selected to have the honor to serve than you will follow in the footsteps of some of the greatest and bravest people in the world.
