I'm Atheist. It depends on the situation. Yes, if it involved a starving child and a ridiculously wealthy person. No, if it involved a lazy person who refused to work. You can't answer a question like this in a general way.

No. But that doesn't mean that rich shouldn't offer what they can to the poor and give at least a tenth of their income to the Lord, it means that it is not right to steal, but, the rich should much rather give with a caring heart on their own, it is THEIR choice if they want to obey God and go to heaven or disobey and burn in hell. Bill Gates even donates through the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. I am theist and I love God with all my heart, and give what I owe to him in generosity.

Actually one more from whoever that was - princessoftheghetto07- Since the Poor rarely have money and stuff - they need to be shown how to use it wisely, for example, if you go and give a 7-year old kid $50 and tell him to save it and spend it for good purposes, he might and go buy a big box of candybars.

It is morally wrong to rob from anyone, rich or not. There is nothing wrong with being rich, and rich people shouldn't be persecuted for being rich. God calls some people to wealth, and others he does not. If you don't believe me, just look: Abraham was wealthy, Jacob was wealthy, Joseph was wealthy, Isaac was wealthy, Job was wealthy (although he lost it as a test of faith, yet he was given wealth again later), etc and so on. Many people in the bible, who found favor with God, and were faithful and obedient to God, (the only requirements for salvation throughout every dispensation), were wealthy. But many people in the bible were poor, and also found favor with God: for example the old woman in the synogogue who gave her very last coin as an offering. She found favor with God. I could go on and on. The point is, don't steal from the rich, just because you think being rich is an evil. It's not. And if you think it is, then you must account for the fact that so many people in the bible who found favor with God, and were saved, were rich.

No its not. But then is it morally acceptable for the rich to treat the poor as slaves, pay slave wages, not to offer health benefits or retirement, all the while raking in the big bucks?

Well it depends on one own personal morals, I guess. It is wrong to steal, certainly. But is it wrong to steal from a tyrannical king, in order to save the life of infants of poor peasants?

I would do it if I could, I admit.

I think it is because the rich have enough. all they're doing is spending it on rolls-royces and yachts. the poor actually need some of that and won't blow it on stupid crap like motorboats and limos.
