I have had that same question. If I am not mistaken, this is of the Prophet's tradition. I have heard that Cleanliness consists of 5 things.

I learned of pubic shaving by accident. It is becoming sort of popular-- many are doing it because there are some benefits. Besides, what is the function of pubes anyway?

Hope this helps.

I guess that is just more proof that Muhammad is NOT a prophet of God. He thinks shaving pubic hair is part of cleanliness? He obviously didn't know that, like most body hair, one of its purposes is to protect the genital area from bacteria or germs. It also helps trap sweat so it doesn't go running down. That's kind of unclean.

God Bless.

I think that might be in a Hadeeth but I'm not really sure. Ask an Imam at your local mosque.
