ok so my neighbors are saying that my dog has been barking alot I UNDERSTAND THAT, but he is in his tranining session. He lives outside in a comfy place. He is a very spoiled dog, and gets whatever he wants. Soon he is going to live inside as soon as we get him trained. We are spending alots of time with him. We are also working really hard to get him trained so he can live inside. The neighbors dont really understad the situation, all they do is stalk our backyard, and then they come complain about us that we should be keeping our dog inside and we are keeping him trained by taking him to training, we always spend about 2 and half hours with him and give him alots of chew toys stuffed with peanut butter. We take him on walks twice a day. He is not willing on being patient for us to fully train our dog. And this is none of his buisness of keeping our dog inside. I UNDERSTAND THAT WE NEED TO TAKE CARE OF HIS BARKING WHICH WE ALREADY DID

Why does he have to be trained before he is allowed inside? Also, what's the difference between training him inside or outside?
I was in this situation. My neighbor two houses down left her dog in the garage and it barked all day and all night. It drove me and my husband crazy. I literally could not think straight. I called Animal Care and Control so many times I lost count. You can't just leave your dog somewhere for hours on end and expect him to be fine. Dogs need love and attention. I was concerned for the dog because I did not know if he had food and water, or if something was wrong. Maybe that is why your neighbors are "stalking" you.
If you don't rememdy the situation your neighbors will band together and complain to AC&C. When more than one neighbor complains and/or signs a letter saying the dog is a nuisance your dog will be taken away.

Well that wasn't really a question- but here's an answer. Why not try keeping the dog inside and use a crate when you can't be right there to watch him? If you're training him (what kind of training I have no idea what you're doing, keeping him outside to train for anything doesn't make any sense... but anyway) even if it's house training or basic obedience (if the dog is a spazz in the house?) keeping him inside will make it progress much faster and having a crate will let you keep a closer eye on the dog than being outside. Also your neighbors won't have anything to complain about then....

I don't understand what training the dog outside has to do with living inside. You can teach your dog the same things living inside with you and then he won't bark. Your dog wants to be with you, that's why he barks. 2 hours a day isn't long enough to spend with your dog. They are very social animals and you keeping him outside won't help the situation. Training your dog outside won't help with inside either. He'll be trained outside but then won't be used to inside surroundings. It just doesn't make sense. Bring your dog inside so he can learn to socialize and behave properly indoors. What you're doing sounds very backwards and weird. If I was your neighboor I'd complain too if there was a dog barking all the time.

I don't understand why people get dogs and leave them outside in the first place. They're pack animals. They want to be with you! And I'm not sure what kind of training you're working on while he's outside. ?? (If you're trying to keep him from "going" in the house, how will he learn that by being outside?) (And your neighbors are right. They shouldn't have to listen to him bark.)

I see one question mark.. answer is Yes.. you have neighbors.

Neighbors who have the right to live without dealing with your dog barking.

Dogs are pack animals 24 hours a day... not 2 and a half.

Your neighbor does not need to be patient while you fully train your dog. It is your responsibility to have control of your dog 24 hours a day... just as you do with your children.

What is your question? If you have already explained the situation to your neighbors, then there is little else you can do. Maybe you should try bringing your dog inside at night in a crate. He/she won't bark at night, which is the only time the neighbors have a right to complain.

I'm glad that you are working on having your dog as an inside dog.

why not bring the dog in now??? i think it's unfair that you only, spend 2 and 30 minutes, with your dog.what about the heat ? or what if it rains? dogs don't like being alone !! dogs need to be walked MORE than twice a day !! i would never do that to my dog !! it is wrong of you to treat him this way !! not to mention the mosquito's biting him & then there are the ticks and fleas !! your dog can end up getting sick !! heartworm etc. !! i don't want to come of as rude, but i think a dog should not be outside 24- 7 !!!

It's still the same answer, if you are bugging your neighbour, your dog should be in the house.. Why does your dog need to live outside while you are training him.. He was inside for 6 mos, and now needs to be outside for training? Everyone else in the world keeps their dog in the house while they are training him, why is your dog outside during training??
