Yahoo! has a Golf Handicap Tracker that you can use for free. It's easy and does most of the work for you. It's not an official USGA handicap, but will work well in most any circumstance. I have been using it for 5 years.

If you want a basic answer, take your average score over par... that is your approx. handicap. If you are looking for something for detailed try the USGA website, or even the golfdigest website. They both have good handicap systems.

if you don't want to go to the yahoo site then just go over your last scorecard adjust all scores to a max of double bogey and use your best 3 of your last 5 rounds that is how my club does it for players with no handicap

there are many websites that can help figure that out for you, it's generally a formula of your score, the rating and slope ofthe course you played at, yahoo has a handicap tracking program with many courses listed..hope this helps.
