I have had, in the past, a female that had a "silent heat". In other words, she will not attract lots of males like a female who has a normal "heat". If you have a female with a silent heat - she is actually coming into heat - but not announcing it to the world like a normal female does. If you have a male dog near by ( in your yard or next door) then they will try to tie (mate) with her.
" Silent Heat Periods"
"This is an abnormal type of period in which the bit_h ( female dog) does not show any of the signs of estrus. Although she is willing to accept a male, she will be in and out of season before she can be bred.
This is a bit_h who requires professional help. I personally advise vaginal smears at monthly intervals to determine the health of her female organs, when she is in estrus, and when ovulation will occur. The condition is usually caused by a hormonal imbalance and is difficult to treat.
I would be cautious of using such an animal in a breeding program because there is a probability that the condition is hereditary."

Yes, silent heats happen in dogs. The only outward sign if she is having one would be that she would stand for letting a male dog mount her. They often happen in multi-dog homes wherein the less dominant bitches may have silent heats.

merely going to stick an answer I used in this question beforehand, because it stands real and that i'm hoping you come across it thrilling. :) i bypass to attempt to grant you a balanced answer, as i can work out the two facets. i like the dogs Whisperer for its intents and purposes - as an mind-blowing television tutor. i admire having a snicker at those stupid women individuals who permit their clothier mutts run jewelry around them, inflicting lots of subject and you're able to be able to very almost see the exasperation in his face whilst they are telling him how their canines are their "toddlers" and that they are allowed "each and everything they choose". It sounds very snobby, even though it makes me very grateful that i understand a thank you to guard canines and which will in no way ensue to me! human beings dislike it for some reasons. the main one being, lots of the flaws he does require an specific volume of awareness and journey (somewhat whilst it is composed of worry aggression, foodstuff aggression or well-known viciousness), and individuals see the flaws he does, they think of "i can try this!" And oh seem - they have been given munched by potential of the German Shepherd that's munching everybody that is going close to him at Meal cases! yet another one is that a number of his procedures are questionable, somewhat the Alpha Roll. If no longer finished appropriate, that's totally risky for the guy doing it or maybe for the dogs! This has because of the fact that been faraway from his inspired guidance innovations. That pronounced, i think of that for sure he does understand what he's doing - he receives consequences and facilitates human beings to work out the place they are going incorrect. My important factor i like him for however, is that he's exhibiting the worldwide how stunning the bully breeds could be - canines like Daddy are giving Pits the recognition they deserve, that an invaluable dogs whilst wisely referred to could be a large better half. So, definite. I even have an extremely impartial feeling in direction of Cesar - i think of a few of his artwork is thrilling, although i think of that the individuals that see it as a bible for dogs guidance and then finally end up hurting themselves or their dogs is a actual danger. that's a television tutor, meant to be mind-blowing, and if extra human beings observed it like that, then we does not have those issues.
