Do you owe back taxes, or is it that you've not filed tax returns for previous years? If it's the latter, and you have the money to pay the taxes, that's not too big a deal. If you filed your returns but can't afford to pay your taxes, the IRS will work out payments for you.

The payments MAY be more than you can pay, unfortunately, but it's worth a try to see what they offer. You can enter a payment agreement at the IRS web site.

Unfortunately, many CPA's dont know a lot abot tax law, other than keeping the required accounting documents. You might need to see a tax attorney. Ask for a free consultation.

For those types of problems, you want to have personal contact with a CPA or enrolled agent, not some Internet site.
