its a 1999 v6 mustang....i was wantin to buy some 4:10 gears for it but idk if the rear end is 8.8 or 7.5...thnx for the links and answers

I agree with legendlimestang. Your 1999 Mustang V6 has the 7.5" rear end. Only V8 models are equipped with the 8.8" rear end.

look at the metal tag on the rearend. it will have various numbers on there you will see your gear ratio as well as ring gear size either 7.5 or 8.8
as was said before only the v8 model came 8.8 .
for future reference that it the location of the rear end info...

You definately have the 7.5 inch rear axle with 28 spline shafts
