Who says that companies will pay anyone minimum wage, if amnesty is passed, the next wave of illegals will just move into those jobs that the current illegals are doing, and being that most of our ruling class has no desire or or see any need to secure our borders, so we will always have a steady stream of illegals, that will not be paid a minimum wage. Then the former illegals will undercut the wages currently being paid to citizens and legal immigrates.

of course once everyone is legalized companies won't pay peanuts to any one, and by the way most illegal immigrants are degree holders, that means they will be able to get good jobs , living us with a gap, we have to be honest here , they are jobs that Americans don't do, I am not going into why they don't do them right now, companies will no longer record high profits that they do now, those $2/per hour will be gone, the government has not done a good job enforcing the law on minimum wage, no wonder millions have no medical coverage

Most of them are paid minimum wage. Illegal immigrants are turning down jobs in the fields paying $10 an hour. What might happen, is the employer would try to find ways to not pay them the promise rate. As the person above stated, illegal imigrants are desired not only to lower wages but because they are afraid to report their employer for illegal activites. That is the most important draw for employers, not the flat pay.

Technically, they have to pay it now (but they can usually count on illegals not complaining about, for unfounded fear of deportation), and many of them do - many of them pay more, because that's what the market will bear, without the illegals, they'd have to pay even more.
It's not a serious problem, though, since any Amnesty would act as a magnet drawing /even/ more illegals to America. (If you doubt that, just look at history, the '86 Amnesty was ultimately given to the 5 million illegals present at the time - 21 years later there are over 12 million and counting).

When I was picking lemons in Santa Barbara I got payed by the box, not the hour, same with straw flowers in Pescadaro. As far as other jobs I've done for min. wage, washing dish's, etc. it was min wage or better. I imagine they are still paying by the box, but that was many years ago.

minimum wage laws apply to everyone, but the $5.85hr wage does not apply to restaurant workers who earn $2.13hr + tips , and agricultural employees do not earn overtime.
In most cases involving sub-minimum wage employment, the employer is paying them in cash "off the books." or for migrant farmworkers who are paid per bushel, by deliberately overestimating the number of bushels that can be harvested per hour.

Those companies will simply fire the new legal immigrants and hire more illegals.

yes, if not, that would be illegal and those "newly" legal immigrants could sue for human rights/workers rights violations. So yes, they would have to.
