Yes. God weeps over every lost one, as we weep too. Everything the world is truly searching for is with God, yet so many the one thing that wont accept is God. It is the delussions of the devil, all we can do is to pray for them, live truth ourselves and try to warn them. But in the end, its all choice. Yes it is very sad indeed and when I think of God weeping, its almost more than I can stand.

I agree with you in a way.
But you are proposing that people are trying to find a higher meaning without Christianity being sad. I don't believe that. I don't believe God is limited to one man made religion.
I think it is sad to see people searching without any faith, goodness, knowledge or compassion in their hearts. I think God is important to have in one's life. Just not in the particular way you are suggesting. What you refer to as "spurning God's Word"--- I don't see the Bible as the only version of God's Word, nor the perfect version of God's word. I think God's Word can be found anywhere, if one only has the desire to look, to ask, to feel.
A relationship with God is a personal path. That path may be different than that of the Biblical Christianity you suggest.

It is sad, but that is because we are skeptical about everything. Humanity is constantly trying to get a grasp of something. For instance, when you have a sibling, or a close relative who is sick. At first, you're very worried because you don't know what they may have until we take the to the doctor, and find out its just a cold. Humans do not like the unknown, we feel better and more comfortable knowing about something even if we don't know exactly what it is or how it works. That is why we are are always curious about everything, always willing to go forth... we are beautiful beings. :)

I can't judge, because like many people, I'm not searching for meaning in life at all and God's word has no relevance for me whatever.

This is one thing I hate most about this forum. I don't mind so much when they call me stupid, but to insult God does hurt.
by the way, I had to look up the word "spurning." I learned a new word, and that's cool.

I too am saddened to see this happen. So many people now days are taking their own lives just because they don't take the time to read God's Word and believe it.

So if I buy into stories about prophets sending bears to tear up kids and stoning people to death for picking up sticks on the wrong day of the week - my life will have meaning? My life already has meaning without believing in silly things!

God wrote no books. All holy books were written by men various agendas.
The truth about God could never fill a single book or a million.

Actually arrogance, non-virtuous behavior, like a lack of altruism is really sad... whatever works to get someone to altruism, wisdom and compassion is what's best for them. Your "God's Word" hopefully works for you.

yeah it really is. People dont believe what's right in front of them, instead they thinks its smart to not believe anything. They look for meaning in meaningless things. I can't believe people would insult God like that.
