Sorry, I don't think that this is going to happen unless you can get to a private beach. There are no fire rings on the beach at Laguna and General fires are not allowed. Even BBQ's are restricted. But... for confirmation call the Life Guard station at main beach. The city offices operatior will help you out.
City of Laguna Beach

there could be an area that I have missed so check it out!

Laguna Beach Fire Pits

"Sender" is right - no fires allowed at the Main Beach in Laguna. Two good alternatives are the fire rings at Aliso Creek Beach (go south on PCH a few miles) or Corona del Mar (go north on PCH a few miles).

The fire rings are first come - first served. On busy weekends you might need to have somebody show up at 6 AM to hold a fire ring.

Sorry, don't think it is legal to have a bonfire on that beach. It is illegal on most beaches. I know that the following beaches have cement fire pits on them in which you can have a fire: Huntington City Beach, Bolsa Chica State Beach and Huntington State Beach. They are available on a first come, first serve basis. Don't think there are any other beaches in So. Cal that offer this, or will allow any sort of a fire.
