He did, he came in the flesh.
He was dead in the flesh, just as we will die in the flesh.

Well Jesus is God also, as part of the trinity of God. That there are three who are God, yet there is only one God, works out perfectly. God the Father was able to stay in his place and maintain control over the universe, while Jesus was able to pour out his divinity and take the form of a human, and be subject to the same trials and tribulations as a human. Jesus on earth was only human, and he had to pray to the Father and ask for all the miracles he performed. Jesus miracle were all done through the power of the Holy Spirit. So even in saving mankind, all three were God, and all three had a purpose, and a necessary role. Afterwards God raised Jesus back up to his high position, and made the name of Jesus above every other name.
Philipians 2:5-11
5Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
6Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
7But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
8And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
9Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
10That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
11And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

The God, Jesus, and Holy Spirit are one. It's not three seperate gods.
Has anybody seen the sun? No not really, we have only seen the light from the sun. Has anybody felt the sun? Not really, we only feel the warmth of the sun. Likewise, the Father, the source, the rays Jesus, and the warmth as the Holy Spirit.
Think of ice, water, steam all are the same source.

He is God The Father, Christ The Son, and The Holy Spirit both all in one and apart. I know its a hard thing to grasp but just think of it this way, you might be a father, brother, uncle, and a friend in a room full of people and able to operate within those different capacities at one time. God however is able to split Himself off to accomplish whatever He so desires in heaven and here on earth.

Sacrifice to the Gods became an quite historical prepare. the story of Abraham and Joseph became meant to teach that God disapproved of human sacrifice. simply by fact the prepare became so ingrained in early situations God meant Jesus to be the sole organic, sparkling, sinless sacrifice, in accordance to Luther.

"The Word became flesh and dwelt among us..."
Just as we have more than one side to us (I am daughter - to my parents; Wife - to my spouse; Mother - to my kids). But I am still just one person, in three different capacities. As a daughter, I obey my parents; a wife, I cooperate with my husband on things that concern 'our' family; as a mother, my children are expected to obey me.
G-d also has three distinct natures / capacities, but is only one being. As the Father, He is the Speaker of the 'Word'. As the Word, He is the bringer of the Divine Spirit. And as Spirit, He is the 'breath' of life in each of us.
You claim that we 'make G-d small enough to fit in our pocket'. That might be the case with some, I don't know; I can't answer for them or their relationship with G-d. However, in my relationship, He is too massive to 'fit' anywhere. I might say that "I feel His Presence" but that does not mean the entirety of His Being fits in my home, heart, or anywhere for that fact. G-d is capable of many things that our finite little minds are still trying to comprehend.
Not to be rude, but you 'know about' G-d; believers in His Eternal Presence and Word --- "Know" Him in their heart, mind, and soul; that is when He is real in our life. That is when we have faith in Him. "His Will Be Done --- Not mine"

Jesus and God are the same, and it is a confusing concept. Though they are the same, Jesus is God's son. It shows how much Jesus loved us, to die, as His Father willed Him to.

God the Father no longer posseses the ability to die and hence needed to send His Only Begotten, but I disagree with the analogy, Christ volunteered to do this for us.

God is immortal. It would be impossible to sacrifice Himself, so He sent His Son, who is another manifestation of God, in human form. Jesus was not just important for the sacrifice. He is the example to all of us of how God wants us to be.

ill tell you becuase it says in John 3: 16 for god so loved the world he gave his only son for those who believe in him not to perish but have everlasting life. in other words he gave his son to die for our sins so that we could live .because thats how much he loves us.
