I believe allergies form as our bodies ingest pollens and such in which we are highly sensitive too. Our bodies try to fight this and that is why we have "symptoms."

They are not pleasant and anifalactic( not sure about this spelling!) shock is a horror! However, being allergic to something, most all my life, I have learned and been told that our allergies change. That is true! I used to be allergic to feathers. Not anymore...I don't even react when they give me a scratch test now! So, there is hope that some will change and all we can do is hope it will be the ones that bug us the most!

Now, on the flip side....we can also develop new allergies! Oh geesh! Even if our bodies change, or, we move to a different climate to escape some of the allergens...we will develop new allergies. This, according to three allergists I have spoken too.

I Know that you do not want to hear this as I did not want to hear this either! But, I suppose it is fact when coming from three specialists!

I wish you luck with your allergies...feel better!

Within the centuries where companies and manucatories have produced chemicals that either help us or kill us it is not uncommon to develop certain allergies.
The human body can produce only so much of anti patogency as it will be able to handle. Therefore sometimes if a certain strain appears it will cause allergies. Not sure why they are formed. But sometimes it's just the circumstances in which chemicals have been produced.

Hi Bilbo:
Our bodies are designed in a unique way and every one is different !.

Some software and hardware could make your computer crash depending on your PC's operating system and the programs you have downloaded on it .

This is more or less the same as what happens when we get Allergic reaction .

When you are newly born, your immune system is like a blank white page, there no database on it !, you are only immune for few weeks afterbirth by having some antibodies passed to you by your mother.

Later on, as your body and immune system are continuously exposed to different types of Allergens and Antigens which are recognised as hazardous to your body (Pollens as an example), the immune system (Operated by certain types of white blood cells) starts building up somesort of defense mechanisms to protect you when you get exposed to these substances . Part of these defense mechanisms are called Antibodies .

When your body is exposed to small amount of Allergens, the immune system can deal with it and antibodies are produced and stored in the memory of your immune system.

If your body is exposed to large quantities of certain types of Allergens which have not been known to your immune system, it gives order to other type of white blood cells to directly attack the intruding Allergen (No Antibodies are formed as a result !).

The defendent specialised white blood cells release a substance called Histamine which helps to open peripheral blood vessels to carry more blood (Troops) to the battle field !.

The effect of released Histamine on your body is the reason behind the Allergic reaction ( Itching, redness, runny nose, watering eyes and cough etc..).

Hope this is enough for now

Thank you for the question !

The allergies are not OUT THERE; they are in YOU. Your immune system malfunctions & sees the allergen as a potential threat. It produces various substances, to kill the invader, producing the allergy symptoms.
