im a dog lover!!!! ill admit that! but altho ima a dog lover i hav gotten bit twice by dogs one by my own dog (had to get stitches!!) and never was that dog maltreated he was pretty much spoiled!! and wat does he do bite the hand that fed him i do agree a person should get punished but not taht much i mean a year in prison is too much maybe a fine should be the only thing done! ppl r comparing dogs to humans,,,well guess wat dogs rnt humans htye can turn on u in an instant and kill u! they hav no feelings ..u think a dog gives a s.hit about u!! hell no!!!!(ever heard of dog attacks) so dont go supporting these animals as if their lives were worth more than a humans!!!!

i think ppl who agree with such harsh punishments should be put in a room with kujo and then get to choose sides lol

I can actually read this question!!!! I have boys who type the exact same way. At least the girl types normal.

He should be in huge trouble and get some jail time. If he is wealthy, a fine would never really teach him a lesson. And it has nothing to do with a dog biting. Dogs who bite should be destroyed especially if they are large enough to be dangerous and dominant, aggressive. But destroying a dangerous dog and purposely engaging in torture for sport are two extremely different things. One borders on psychotic behavior. He needs some jail time. And so does everyone else involved in his little "sport".

yes he is still locked up and i heard somethign last week that it would be this ime next year he gets out. I do not agree with what he did, but i do feel like he was punished worse than others in the NFL have been for their crimes. Vick should have been locked up for all the drug stuff before the dog fighting. Like i said before i dont agree with it, but come on people, i live in south texas and i hear about ppl doin that stuff all the time. But when an NFL star does it he gets put away. What he did was terrible, but the same punishment needs to go to those who are not rolemodels as well. I think someone was trying to make an example of him. As for returning to the NFL, that will be up to the "big dogs" Sorry couldnt resist.

But... aside from my views on animal rights...let me just say that the way a person treats animals tends to parallel their regard for people. Numerous studies have shown that cruelty to animals by children is a 'red light' - such behavior tends to predict the kind of person a kid will grow up to be. Many modern day serial killers and psychopaths (people who lack empathy for others and feel nothing when others are in pain) have been documented as being cruel to animals as kids.....as exhibiting a need to use and assert domination over more vulnerable creatures that stays with them their entire life. If Vick did this to dogs (assuming he is guilty), what does his behavior say about his regard for people?.... What does that say about his regard for women (if you are such a fan of the man, maybe you should read up on his mistreatment of women... he was a criminal long before this incident). If Vick can witness and participate in dog fighting and not feel anything for the animals beyond $$$ and amusement, I can't image him having too much regard for life (a life other than his own), in general.
That said, you think he cares about those who wear his jersey and blindly stick their necks out for him? I believe that IF he is guilty of this crime, his feelings for the dogs and his fans (or any other living thing) does not likely extend beyond the $$$.

first of all, learn to type and I'm talking about trying real words.. secondly, I agree with you that human life is worth more than a animals, however, no animal deserves to be treated the way he treated those dogs. And if I were your dog , your right, I probably wouldn't give a s**t about you.. by the way you sound on here, however, you can never make me believe my dogs or other peoples dogs dont give a s**t about them.. as far as vick goes, he was all cocky and cool when he was doing this crap, but not so cocky anymore... I feel sorry for you, you sound like a miserable person.. who will probably have a very lonely life

There is no reason to do what Sick Vick did to these dogs. They feel as much pain as your daughter or son. If he were to slam your child into the ground, or electrocute your child, etc. the pain wouldn't be any different except that the dog doesn't know why. You IDIOT!

those dogs are GODs creatures and vick should get jail time plus a very large fine. at least 10k for each dog he had killed.lastly 2 years for each animal in a minimum security prison.

Hmmmm..... maybe your own dogs sense your heartlessness and that's why you got bit. Never in my life have I heard such a ignorant opinion! Did you torture animals as a child? I'd love to know what happened to you to make you so oblivious to how life really works.
When you rescue -rehab - and train one to be a service dog for a blind or ill child as I do, and you watch that animal grieve its self to death when that child passes THEN you talk to me about how a dog loves. Until then your opinion is WORTHLESS.
Anyways.....they should put his sorry butt UNDER the jail for the rest of his fowl life.

he deserves jail time he thinks cause he is a celebrity he can get by with anything i hope he goes to jail for life, just think how those dogs got abused and how they felt. i bet you would feel sad and wonder why god gave you life. he was wrong and cruel and need jail time. some dogs attack cause they way they where raised and mistreated and dogs are like humans they can feel happy sad hurt and can be your best friends and i know my dog luv me. i treat my dogs as if they where humans.

i think that you are wrong...killing anything, that isn't to be used for food, is wrong. image how you would feel if you weren't at the top of the food chain! besides, making dogs fight is cruel, and that's illegal...he absolutely should go to jail, and pay fines, and the whole nine yards. don't feel bad for the guy at all.
