I agree, the more thought a question requires to answer it, the less answers you will get, and the use of polysyllabic terms is a no-no.

A few *good* answers would be superb.

My record is for getting scant answers, with a couple of exceptions.
I take that more that I'm out of tune with the zeitgeist of Y!A, than that I'm probing intellectual depths that few can follow.

I think I'll give up asking, unless something really pressing crops up.

I agree. for some it is to difficult to grasp, and understand, not that others are dumb, it is just their perception and awareness to understand the question then critically analyze to find an answer, is different.
It's like life some have the same view point of life others maybe different, it really depends on your experiences, observation and awareness in relationship to what is coming into your life, that helps give way to wisdom.
We are all children until we reach the age of 40-50. Then we become adults, until then we are searching for our own truth and answers to who we are.

Yeah, and there is the fact that if it makes people think they are less likely to even read it, let alone answer it. And, it just might be missed and overlooked in all the other random nothing questions floating around, like "why are atheists here" and stuff like that.

It could be the way you asked it also that gives you the answers your looking for... A good question deserves a good answer and vise versa. :)
