My 2 year old grandson weighs 40 lbs. 8 oz. and my daughter is expecting again. She needs a double stroller but the weight limit on most strollers is 40 pounds. Where can she find a stroller to accomodate both children without spending a fortune?

In defense of my grandson, he is NOT overweight. He is very tall for his age and extremely active. His pediatrician placed him in the 95th percentile for height.

Please, no more judgemental comments. I am only trying to find a safe stroller for my grandkids.

dont listen to those rude stupid peopl...my daughter is 2 1/2 and is 42lbs and also is tall for her age...alot of people think she is 3 for her size...i'm 7 weeks pregnant and I went to Target and found the Baby Trend Deluxe Sit N’ Stand....its $180...they also have it online with free shipping and the weight limit says 90lbs but you can always go over that...the stroller that i have now is only up to 35lbs and she still sits in it fine

I had the comparable issue while my son replaced into 2 and 40 pounds! i replaced into finding for a double stroller on the time because of the fact my daughter replaced right into a newborn. i in my opinion on no account discovered one. stable success which includes your seek! something I did hit upon replaced into that the walking strollers often had greater weight limits, as did the greater costly strollers!

Is your grandson just very large, or his he overweight? That sounds excessive. I think that's a more pressing problem than a double stroller-- sounds like it'd do him some good to walk!

Really, I'm not trying to sound mean, but exercise might just be what the kid needs.

There are some jogging strollers made for 2 kids that can probably accomodate more weight.

Check out some thrift stores, especially Savers, and Goodwill if you have them near you, Look up some stroller manufacturers and call them, Put an advertisement on the bulletin board of the supermarkket that you shop in. Advertise in the pennysaver, or your local paper.

Here's a link to the stroller we have. The total weight limit on it is 100lbs. It folds down flat and I can fit it in the trunk of my Corolla by taking the rear tires off (takes 1/2 second to do). http://www.amazon.com/InStep-Safari-Swivel-Double-Stroller/dp/B000IORPYW/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/103-3083633-0019826?ie=UTF8&s=sporting-goods&qid=1185575924&sr=8-1
And it was only $170 including free shipping.

There is no such thing as cheap when it comes to kids lol. She can try looking on craigslist for her area or checking thrift stores and the like. I picked up my double stroller for 40 bucks. Good luck!

Um instead of getting a bigger stroller make him lose some weight. You'll save money on food then you can buy another stroller if you need one.
