Why is it that you choose to hang around in a section just to leave negative and unhelpful comments?

I don't have any tattoos. I'd like to get some but I probably never will because my family really doesn't like them (I'm not a kid, I'm in my 20s, I just don't want to hurt their feelings). But I feel like I can really appreciate most people's stories about their tattoos. I love hearing those stories. Once, I asked an older man that I worked with about the faded and wrinkled stars and eagle on his arm and he told me all about his service in Europe in World War II. I think religious/ cultural tattoos and tattoos honoring family are really beautiful.

There's a flipside though. I think it's kinda dumb when people get silly stuff tattooed on their bodies. It's your body and it's art and it going to be there for a long time, get something that means something... this is also coming from a girl who's ex-boyfriend tried to justify his tattoos of 1) a fish smoking a cigarette & 2) naked angels to me over and over and over and it was pretty annoying.

I agree with you. I also love the people that log in here to say EVERYONE that has tattoos will regret them. They have no right to make such an assumption. I have had my oldest tattoo for 14 years and I still do not regret. Nor will I. People need to quit making such pompous assumptions.

Or those people who say you can't get a decent job with tattoos. I beg to differ. I was a professional account with a neck tattoo and even switched jobs with said tattoo.

Please people, quit assuming! And if you have nothing nice to say, keep quiet!

I think it's funny when people insist on reminding us, "remember, it's permanant"! REALLY?? It's a good thing they remind us of that, because I didn't know if they use a needle and ink to put tattoos on us that it would be permanant! You mean they don't wash off??? must go off to rethink those tattoos now....:)

i thoroughly agree. its like an athiest hanging out in the religion section, or a vegan standing in the meat department of a grocery store and glaring at people and passing out anti animal products fliers. i just dont get it. why waste your breathe telling us (us meaning pro bod mod, meaning those of us with open minds) that is wrong and we shouldnt do it, its our temple, yadi yadi YADA. well temples are decorated too and we dont b*tch at you for being naked. so please people if youre AGAINST bod mods just stay out of our section and stop wasting our time and your time by flapping your gums with negativity. thanks. greatly appreciated.

I was gonna ask that, It annoys me when people ask "I want this...what's your view" and there are responses saying "Don't, tattoos are stupid", the same thing happens with questions about piercings.
