Well for starters, Christians believe that there is only one way to God and that is through belief in Jesus Christ. Islam was founded way after Christ came.
They also believe that God is constant and doesn't change his mind. That is why many Christians understand that the Jews were God first people and therefore pray for the peace of Israel. In the book of Revelations there are select Jews who are called to the forefront.
Islam does not accept Jews or Christians as they believe theirs is the only way to God.
Islam represents one of two things from the Christian perspective: A subversion or deviation from the original Christian text, or belief in what amounts to a separate and very different God.
To worship the same God Christians would have to recognize Mohamed as greater than Jesus. Islams do not recognize Jesus as God's son and therefore capable for redeeming us from all the sin of this world.
And I've just scratched the surface.................

If either side actually took the time and read things, and understood things, they would realize they do worship the same God.
Allah is just a title like Mr or Mrs, same with God, Lord.
Both books talk about YHWH as the true name of G_D. Just most w/ the bible don't realize this as the true name of G_D was removed from English bibles in 1914 due to a fight between the American baptists and the Jehovah witnesses. Baptists got mad at the J.W. so they removed the most High's Name. Something the book CLEARLY says not to do.
YHWH (ancient text)
YaHWeH (English version)
Yodh-Heh-Wah-Heh (true pronunciation)
YeHoWaH (native Indian version)

In Islam god is god Muslims use the word Allah because it can not be turned in to gods/lords/masters/etc. Allah's is an oxymoron. Also Muslims believe in the god of Adam Abraham and all the other prophets so it is the same god.

Christian will never believe in the same God as Muslims they worship a moon God- their prophet is dead.He never did anything for them.Except leave them behind lies of the devil. He teaches them to this day to kill - to disrepect women etc. Their prophet was evil and had a black heart.
But all they have to do is repent and turn from their wicked ways and our God will surely forgive them. Our God told us of this black hearted prophet.

because they have completely different understandings of god....and the christian god is different from the Islamic god if you go by their scriptures.
To make both gods the same, you would have to completely ignore all the major differences, which are about 90%.
You could accomplish this....but you would be a heretic by both sides. Just ask the Ba;hias.

Hmmm...I believe that God has many faces and that there are many paths to Him/Her/It. I think Muslims and Jews and Christians and Budhists, etc., etc., DO believe in the same God.
