A vet really shouldn't stop until they have an answer, or at least have some thing that will work for the dog to stop throwing up blood. That is horrible, I am so sorry to hear that. Try taking him to another vet for a second opinion.

Did the doctor use a scope to check to see if the dog has a bleeding ulcer or an irritation from something sharp that is no longer in him but is irritated every time the dog eats?
Without doing what is basically an upper G. I., your Vet could miss something. IF it is a question of cost, you might try a University where Vets are trained in your area that is a teaching school because they tend to have state of the art equipment to diagnose and treat animals with unusual conditions and will do so for a very reasonable cost. In Texas there is Texas A & M University.

This is a serious issue. You need to take your dog to the vet asap, and a vet who knows what they're doing would be helpful. Your vet may need to do bloodwork to see if your dog could have cancer or an xray to see if there is an obstruction in his bowels. Internal bleeding in the stomach or G.I. tract is possible. The last time my dog threw up blood, he was diagnosed with cancer.

Take him back to some vet. Doesn't have to be the original one if you think she didn't diagnose right. This isn't something that can be treated at home. It is serious.
Get to the doctor before it gets beyond the point of no return.

Did u know that there was a bad pet food recall. Maybe u gave him some bad food. Ask your doctor about it. Keep taking him to the vet. That's the best thing u can do.

Find a new vet ASAP. Sounds like your dog may have an ulcer. Hopefully you have more than one vet where you live.

You need to get your vet to refer you to a veterinary internal medicine specialist. My dog's having different issues, but still dealing with the insides like that, and that's what they did for us.
Good luck with everything. You'll be in our thoughts...
