Ahhh no way! i love my flip flops =) try ones without the bit in between the toe, it could be that which is causing it to hurt your feet, or try getting flip flops with more cusioning on the bottom, or a softer material. Or maybe you just need to get used to them an wear them in a bit.

No. I have many friends that say flip flops are uncomfortable on their feet. Flip flops are basically a fashion thing. If you wear them for a while because you think they look cute, they'll start feeling comfortable, or at least that's how it was for me. But, if you don't like flip flops there are many other sandals out there that are still cute and popular. For example sandals like these might work for you...

I thought I'd wear some flip flops,
They really look quite neat,
But every time I put them on,
They really hurt my feet.
I tried the thick and thin ones
But everywhere I'd go
That bit that went between my toes,
Would irritate me so.
The idea now I've given up,
I honestly don't care,
My plates of meat are happy now,
Because they're free & bare!

No - thin flip flops are uncomfortable.
I prefer flip flops w/ slightly thicker soles and some support. Crocs are my favorite. Lands' End, Reef, Keens, Chaco are also good.

I find wearing flatties hurts my feet cause I/ve got high insteps also the bit betwween your toe gives you lots of blisters too which ruin the effect of beach chic! I only wear them to get from the beach to the sea in an emergency cause I've plenty more nice shoes which DON'T hurt

No, you're not alone! Some flip flops hurt me between my big toe and second toe, others hurt my inner foot where the strap is & gives me a nasty blister.

It's probably from what brand of flipflops you wear on your feet.
I wear wal-mart flip-flops, and old navy and i've never had a problem.
