I didn't get my cat fixed in time, and she had 4 kittens. The thought of them ending up in a bad home breaks my heart , but I have two dogs already. I do have a pretty decent sized house though, will keeping all the kittens make me the crazy cat lady?

i dont think so. if you can love, feed and care for all of them then go ahead and keep them.
i only wanted 2 cats but we ended up resucing a few more and they are are loved very much and never hungery if you can do it them great for you.

Hi, I know the feeling.
Try to get these all fixed as soon as poss or you will start getting overrun.
I currently have 13 and that's about the limit ( but I'm a sucker for a real emergency )
Make sure you have enough litter trays !
BTW a crazy cat lady lives round the corner from me - last I heard she had 63 cats and kittens, an airlock arrangement with external doors and a conservatory just for them. In the hottest weather she keeps the windows shut to stop them getting out and none of them are neutered.

I know people who have ten (same problem, kept the litter of kittens from both pregnant females they took in, and they're all adults now) who aren't crazy.
So no, it doesn't unless you are crazy to start with. Cats are pets, you can have as many as you can take care of properly. Though some city ordinances say no more than 5 animals per household. But they won't enforce that unless they get a big complaint against you, that usually doesn't happen.

No, it doesn't make you a crazy cat lady!! It shows that you are compassionate and loving. You don't want them to get hurt or killed. Sending them off into strange homes is nerve- wreaking, and if you have the space, then keep them. But maybe no more after this! I thin if you get a few more than you will be in the running for crazy cat lady!! ;o)

I only have 3 cats and my sister calls me a crazy cat lady... so in her definition you would definitely be one with 5! But I think a "crazy cat lady" is someone who only wants to hang out with her cats... which I'm sure you're not and I'm not either. As long as having 5 cats isn't interfering with your life, and you can adequately care for them, I don't think that you are in danger of being a crazy cat lady. I get worried that I'm starting to slide, though, as I just got a bumper sticker that says "My cat is smarter than your honor student," and I was contemplating getting my mom one that said "Ask me about my grandcats!" HAHAHAHA, I didn't get it but that's only because she said she wouldn't put it on her car...

No, just a woman with several cats. As long as you take care of them you're not the crazy cat lady.
You can't be a crazy cat lady, after all, without the "crazy". The only crazy cat lady I ever knew in my life had over 80 cats in her house, and it smelled, and I rarely saw her leave the house.

no i hope not or i was the crazy cat lady for years. the same thing happened to me. i had 5 cats for a long time. most people that came to my house did not know i had even one. they would hide any time strangers came in the house. my kids use to tell me i was one cat away from being that crazy cat lady on our street.

I have 5 cats, but there outside. If you can affort food and vet bills. And getting the spayed and neutered. Then I see nothing wrong with it. Just as long as you can afford it and have enough time for all of them. If not you should find a few homes for some of them!! Good Luck!

I have six cats!! LOL @ myself being "cat lady" ( I am a man )
3 inside cats--pets and I have 3 other cats that live outside
ALL 6 are fixed!!!

I have eight cats inside and five outside.Of course there all fixed and they come in and out.My friends just say i run a cat house.lol.But i must be crazy.
