I swear, on all these R&S Q&A's from Christians, NOT ONCE have I read a question from a Christian in which your deity is referred to as She. Never, not once. Why?????
this quesiton is ONLY for those Christians who are enlightened enough to have said that the pronoun "She" may be used, not for those who STILL exclude the feminine. I already know why YOU guys only say "He"

HA! Just as I thought! Some of you Christians SAY that God can be He or She, and you SAY it doesn't matter which pronoun you use, BUT when asked the question DIRECTLY, you all back out and NOW you say oh mercy me, mercy me, God is only he he he.
TO THOSE WHO ORIGINALLY SAID YOU COULD REFER TO GOD AS SHE AND HAVE NOW BACKED DOWN, what a bunch of liars you are!!

I am Wiccan now but was a Christian for many years---I know this would be a very hard, if not impossible, thing for a Christian to do. Calling God by the pronoun "she" was an alien concept to me as a Christian----but I am older and wiser now------thank you Blessed Lady, for the understanding you have given to us-----Goddess bless you all!

Same quesiton you answered that way, I did, too. You were nicer a little...
In the ancient Kabbala, a type of Judaism only the truly learned studied, there are recognized both male and female forms of god, in the sense that pronouns such as "her" and "His" are used.
Now the answer, many anthropoligists will tell you, is this:
Many moons ago, women more or less ruled earth. They were the miracle baby-makers... and they became priestesses. The known gods were Earth gods and sun gods.
The priestesses secluded themsleves from men, and had orgies (which were innocent, they didn't know about pregnancy and disease yet!)
Well, these priestesses never bore children!
And men realized they had the magic baby making power.
Well, you started to see Sun Gods, like Ra, and Yahweh, and the lot.
And they took over, because men had been repressed for millenia.
And we fell for it.
And we are taking it back!!!!!

I am sorry to crash the party - I am not a christian but know they are missinformed COMPLETELY ...
They go on old women's fables and not scripture - OTHERWISE ....-
Our Creator would be one ... ummmm - not too handsom womann with the beard and all that ... as scripture does state that man was created in Yahweh's Image ... not woman that was created fromt he bone of Adam ...
They are simply repeating what they were taught without any EVIDENCE WHATSOEVER ... as the Christians do so they can have reason to pay their lying preachers without ever looking at:
Isaiah 8:20
The test to tell those lying preachers to hit the road and open the highway for the deceived to look for the truth that can only be found at www.yahweh.com
Sorry I busted up the party ...

In the book of Genesis, God is referred to as the masculine.
We are created in His image, this theme is consistent throughout the Bible.
No matter what our personal thoughts may be about the gender of God, proper English grammar states that when the gender is unknown, the masculine pronouns are used.
If our choice was to say "she" wouldn't that be the equalivant of saying that God is a Goddess?

For Christians, Jesus is the son of God. Mary is the mother of Jesus. That leaves a "father" figure. That father figure is God. "Father" is masculine. Therefore, for Christians, God must be a male.

because christian faith was made up at a time where women has no importance, so god was a man...and they still follow that...becuase people are not very intelligent and they buy whatever others tell them just to have hope that when they die they will carry on living
