I actually do that often, but not as a mask I only put it on the spots that are broke out before I go to bed and wash it off in the morning. You will need a good moisturizer in the morning everyday you use toothpaste, but it really does dry out the pimples.

I always use crest paste, not the gel. and fair warning if you put it close to your eyes they will water uncontrollably for a few minutes but it does stop. And in some areas it will burn. if it bothers you too much wash it off with cold water. But if you can handle it it goes away after a few minutes.

Yes, it works miracles. The best way to do it is to crush up an asprin and put it in the toothpaste then put it on your face. Toothpaste can irritate the skin and make it red so the asprin keeps that from happening. Put it on before bed for about 10-20 mins and wash it off with water, the pimples will be gone in a day or two.

No - that toothpaste remedy for pimples is not a good idea.

Here are home remedies that do work:
You can crush up 6 plain, uncoated aspirin tablets and mix it w/ a little water to make mask. Leave it on for 15-20 minutes & rinse off w/ cool water.

Mix half a teaspoon of crushed uncoated aspirin tablets with Queen Helene Mint Julep mask or aloe vera gel to use as a mask. Leave it on for 15-20 minutes & rinse off w/ cool water.

Milk of Magnesia - apply in thin layer where needed & allow to dry 5-10 mins. Will absorb oil & tighten pores. Can be used as a spot treatment too.

Oh wow that would be interesting..I know some people put toothpaste on the spots with pimples, even ive tried it and it worked. I got it off this magazine and marykate olsen reccommended it. But if you have alot of pimples or acne maybe it would be wise to prescribe creams and treatment.

put on the pimples ONLY but make sure its enough to cover each one of them. all toothpastes can b used but crest has been better most of the time.
if this doesnt work try white apple vinegar. dab on each pimple and leave it overnight and wash it off in the morning.
both of them might sting a bit but thats normal

i havent tried that but it doesnt really sound like a good idea, cus since the toothpaste is drying the pimples the rest of ur face that doesnt have pimples will be dried out and possibly flaky

as a spot treatment, toothpaste (not gel, not liquigel, but PASTE) works very well. put it on when you have a few hours around the house. I wouldn't leave it on overnight, but dab some on, let it dry, leave it on for a little while, and clean it thoroughly. Another tip: switch from your normal astringent to witch hazel. some astringents are so drying to the skin, it makes it overcompensate and produce more oil than normal.

just put a small dab directly on the pimples.

ive never had acne, but a friend used to, and using toothpaste worked miracles for her, good luck!

NO!!!! It only makes the redness and swelling go down. The zits are still there. Use Proactive, I mean look at Jessica Simpson.

Toothpaste, or that amount of toothpaste with not let you skin breath and it will become more irritated and you will have bigger problems than zit/.
