Some Christians do not literally believe in..?

what is a particular grey area for you?
For instance the story of Jonah and the big fish.

Science accepts the concept of animals on land and sea bigger than 3 school buses put together I read today. Why is it so hard for the concept of a big fish that could swallow a man? Some whales today could give it a go.

For God to keep Jonah alive would not be much of an extra effort. Creating life must have been a harder task.

I'm what is known as a lapsed Catholic, so I have lots of doubts.
But I think we look at the spectacular but miss the message.
Too concerned about getting wowwed by miracles and not really paying attention to the teachings of Jesus Christ.

I never believed in talking snakes, virgin births or resurrections. More concerned with trying to be a righteous man than trying to make sense of some crazy stuff like that.

If you believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and God, then He must be accurate in speaking about this story. To say the story is not true, that would come in conflict that you believe Jesus was the Messiah to come to pay for the sins of all mankind.

Jesus is God and King. Believe it, obey it, and love it.

Dr. William Campbell gives the reply in his book, that… ‘You know, part of the day can be counted as one day – And if a patient comes to me, who is sick on Saturday night - on Monday morning, and if I ask him… ‘How long are you sick for ? ’ He will say… ‘ 3 days.’ I agree with you - Concordance approach, I agree - I am very generous. You say part of the day, is full day - I agree with you. So Saturday night, part of the day - one day. Sunday, part of the day, full day – one – good. Monday part of the day full day - no problem. ‘Alive?’ - Alhamdulillah! - Is it a Christian? If he is alive, Alhamdulillah he was not crucified - If he is dead, he has not fulfilled the sign. You can refer to my video cassette ‘Was Jesus Christ peace be upon him really crucified ?’ – I have proved that Jesus Christ peace be upon him was not crucified. As the Qur’an says in Surah Nisa, Chapter 4, Verse No. 157… (Arabic) … ‘They did not kill him, neither did they crucify him - It was only made to appear so.’
SO JESUS (pbuh) WAS NOT CRUCIFIED EITHER SINCE HE SAID ABOUT SIGN OF JONAH AT THAT TIME.
