To me, it is obvious that Jesus left Peter in change (Matthew 16:19; John 21:15-17). Why would you want to be out of communion with Peter?

I am convinced that the Catholic Church is the fullest, truest and most consistent claimant to being Mother Church. I like the Orthodox ChurchES but they are not really one Church the way the Catholic Church is. Also the Pope does not exceed the responsibilities given by Jesus to Peter and his successors
There are sites for the Orthodox Churches .some denonimations are canonical, that is recognized by the Patriarch of Constantinople and in communion with the other Patriarchs.
There are also Western Rite Orthodox that have liturgies like the Tridentine (Old Mass/St Gregory))Use and the Anglican Use(St Tikhon) Roman Catholic.
There are also Oriental(as distinct from Eastern) Orthodox denominations like the Coptic,Armenian,Malankara,Jacobite,Ethiopian Churches that are not in communion with the Eastern Orthodox.
Try the site Ancient Church Radio or Antiochian Orthodox Church
As a Catholic I think that the Catholic Church is the original and orthodox Church(ecclesia)

honshu: So you're telling us that Jesus was wrong in Mark 9:1 (Mk 9:1 Jesus said to them, “What I’m about to tell you is true. Some who are standing here will not die before they see God’s kingdom coming with power.”) when he told those people that some of them would see his kingdom "coming with power?"
-- That is a VERY WEAK view of God, that you think mere men could prevent him from completing his will. Look around you, the kingdom is HERE. The kingdom that is "NOT OF THIS WORLD" (Jn 18:36 Jesus said, “My kingdom is not part of this world. If it were, those who serve me would fight. They would try to keep the Jews from arresting me. My kingdom is from another place.”) and "came with power" at Pentecost (Acts 2, too long to paste here).
The "orthodox" system is about as perverted as catholicism. Both of them have twisted the scriptures. It seems that the orthodox twisting was mostly in reaction to the false teachings brought in by Rome over the first few centuries of the Christian era.
Seek out a "non-denominational" church, but, even then, be careful. Ask how one BECOMES a Christian and see if they take you to the book of Acts, the ONLY New Testament book that describes how people became Christians.
... The rest of the New Testament was written to people who already were Christians, but Acts is a history of the beginnings of Christianity and tells us what those FIRST CHRISTIANS DID, how they acted, and what they taught.
"Apostolic succession" is so wrong... The WORD is the only source of authority. It is always here. Jesus is NOT "head of the church through whoever happens to be pope," he is JUST "HEAD OF THE CHURCH." The body does NOT have many heads, but ONE.

Jesus never founded any church. Unless you believe he has already returned. He told you to follow the law of Moses, and HE would establish his church upon his return.
So why would you follow the word of man over the word of Jesus?
I know I will get a quote from the NT saying otherwise but those quotes comes from man not Jesus.

Neither the Catholic nor the Orthodox church model the Biblical church as revealed in the Bible nor conform their theology to Biblical teachings. Rather they base their faith upon the post-Biblical writings of their own theologians. Read the Bible and see for yourself.
