Hypothermia. ~FREEZING!
Many oldies get it when they fall in the shower and the water runs cold and they cant get up again~ I knew a lady who died like this.
Hyperthermia~ Heat stroke we get a lot of that here in Oz but have never heard of it from being in a tub or shower! Possible i suppose but once you pass out your more likely to drown~ and still end up with hypothermia when the water goes cold.

NB~ Neither is a good idea!!!

Hyperthermia means high temperature. So, if some one is running a high temperature, either the person can take a shower and cool off or use cloth immersed in water to sponge the body so that the temperature comes down. Immersion for a long time is not needed and is not efficient.
