I recently got a Holga camera from Urban Outfitters. Any tips or tricks? Also, how do you unload it?

I started shooting a Holga 'bout 4 months ago and love the results! I have a friend going for his Masters at Savannah's Art School and he gave me a few pointers: 1) for sunny days, use 160 ASA, 2) for cloudy days, use 400 ASA, 3) if you go into woods (he's doing a series on trees) use 800 ASA.

Always keep in mind the end results, so make sure the subject matter lends itself to the finished look.

I've been doing a lot w/ long exposures/movement and having a great time w/ it. You can see some of my stuff here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/iamwhoiam/

As far as unloading the camera, there's nothing to it: just pop off the back and take out the reel on the right (where the film has been wound), seal the roll and then move the empty reel form the left to the right.

Best of luck and HAVE FUN!

If you haven't joined 'Flickr' join it. They have a Holga Camera group that only displays photos taken with Holga cameras and has discussions about Holga cameras.
