Yep. Two Muslims have blocked me and I've never been disrespectful. These two cannot tolerate any opinion but theirs. Oh well, there are Christians like that also.

I'm up to third level now and fluctuating around a 20% best answer rate and the one thing I notice more and more is that questioner's generally aren't looking for information but are instead pushing their own agendas. If you want to get a "best answer" award you better damn well say what the questioner wants to hear. If you contradict them or provide new information that supports another view point you've shot yourself in the foot as far as points are concerned and opened yourself to ridicule as well. It's all very childish with people being content in their prejudices and ignorance and unwilling to learn or accept other possibilities. If they would offer some support for their 'opinions' I might have a bit of sympathy for them, but I have never seen it happen.
It looks like the qualifications for 'Intelligence" in Yahoo Answers is to see how closely one can agree with the asker when answering their question.

It's... life. Deal and get over it.

As for me, I've found it funny that I've never blocked anyone, yet one person who blocked me obviously found a way to answer one of my questions (alternate account would be my guess) even though I'm not allowed to answer any of that person's questions.

I used to be completely open and was happy to hear from any and all R&S participants. Then I discovered that it's completely impossible to say anything critical of Christianity without pissing-off the most rabid of the Fundies. I used to be a lot more tolerant of Christianity, until I came to R&S. Now I better understand the depth of Christian hatred for all people who think for themselves and I prefer to have nothing to do with the worst of them. I've never actually blocked anyone, but I've disabled my answers e-mail and made my Q&A private. End of problem. The Fundies can hate me all they want and I don't get my guts all knotted up in fear and anger.

only when mocking of the faith and/or unbelief.
It is stupid when:
if a certain faith ask for assistance in their belief or holy book, then someone mocks them.
or people just answer to be a smart @$$, feeling the need to insult out of disrespect.
Respect only goes so far when "points" are involved.
I try to stay away from questions which are meant for other beliefs, since my faith differs from them.
But when you get idiots (any faith) mock certain faiths in the question, that show how little integrity, intelligence and respect these people have.
Amazing how the bad apples look on a tree that holds so much promise.

I block people who say sexual things about children or disgusting racial things.

In real life I would walk away from those people.

Other than that I don't care if someone thinks differently than I do.....that's what interesting about this.

I'm not sure what a stament is ... but I know that I block people who tend to "stalk" me or others OR those who tend to ask or answer with trolling questions. Who needs that? That forces THEM to "start over"...not me..at least it they want to try to "victimize" me.

I also happen to be the person who suggested the block feature. I LOVE it. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AsXZQb4srINKf_nspWV3PSjty6IX?qid=20070522040656AAJSw8o I think people who are offensive most often dislike it the most.

Of course...especially if the question is directed at you but you're unable to answer because you're blocked.

It is very cowardly. Its basically just saying "You're welcome to try and talk, but it doesn't matter.

Just like a conservative who only goes to FOX News or liberal who goes to the BBC without trying the other out for a true balance.
