Some Christians are very judgmental and have a "it's my way or the highway" attitude. They don't want to listen to anything that is different from what they believe. Some Christians are very kind and sincere and try to do things to help and benefit their fellow humans. I hope I'm in the last bunch.

I am a Christian...I just wanted to start by saying that. I have learned SO many things about faith and love from Christians and unfortunately I have also learned many things about hate and pain from other Christians...the lessons, however, are not just limited to Christians...I have learned these same lessons and others ones from many people...

I try to learn from everyone I meet...in hope that I can live a good life...
In hope that my words won't what I am judged by, but my actions.

For the most part the effect of Christianity on Christians is a deeper understanding of love...a deep peace and a knowledge that they walk in grace and that the grace which is freely given to them should be openly given to others. Some times the effect is a deeper understanding of how deeply flawed people really are...

I hope that was a good answer for you question...

(:

I have learned there are more false Christians than true ones by far. False Cs go out of their way to tarnish the Christian image and fear true Christians for their "strange" beliefs.

True Cs live the way they preach. While not pacifists, they are loyal to God's Kingdom, so they do not share loyalty with earthly governments. They obey the laws of the countries they reside in unless it conflicts with God's Laws. Taxes are paid. Driving laws are obeyed. Killing another in the wars are not.

True Cs all teach the same thing and are united in faith. Two miles down the road from one church is another with the same name that teaches differently in the world of false Christians. You can go anywhere in the world and find true Christians teaching the same way.

True Cs believe the only solution for the earth's problems is God's Kingdom rule. False Cs hope man will do it without God.

True Cs believe we will face much trouble to get to the point where the earth is transformed back to a paradise but, it will get there. False Cs abandon all hope for the earth.

That is a few things I have learned.

If I was on this site...and I didn't have a religion.. I would not be apt to choose Christianity because there seem to be too many in consistences among us. I probably wouldn't choose any religion based upon this site to tell the truth..everyone is kind of a jumbled mess..

Based on what I see in the outside world I would choose Christianity, because I see/know that most Christians do live good lives, and try and do the right thing for others and to others...there are bad ones in every group.. The thing that makes Christianity so hard to accept for many people is that there is a lot of tiffs between branches over doctrine...I think a lot of people think if they can't get along with each other then how can they be happy...Being that I am a Christian, so I am open to what other Christians tell me or what we discuss, I have learned a lot. I am no longer angry and bitter at people who have wronged me... I am no longer frightened of what I do not know and I trust in God..

What I have learned about christianity from christians is how hypocritical some of them are. They do not do as they preach others to do.

I have seen much intolerance and false righteousness in some of these christians.

It's sad to say, But some Christians do make mistakes and give the rest of us bad names. I know it's hard to believe, but we're humans too. But I do know alot of ON fire Christians that I really want to be like. They are good witnesses.

I am a Christian and have learned a great deal about sacrifice, love and dedication from other Christians.

I have also learned that people calling themselves Christians can be totally lost.

So in short, what I've learned is to keep my eyes on GOD, not other people, to learn what I need to know.

I see a broken people who is looking for their Father. They've found their Father, but they need to be loved by Him. Since they're not completely done with that process, they do silly things to get love and affirmation from the world. They insult, kill, and oppress, because they haven't quite found their Father.

But on the other hand, I also see that miraculous hint of Christ in them. I see forgiveness, healing, and redemption. So their are many types of children, but one Father. Just because the children are rebellious, it doesn't mean the Father doesn't exist.

I've learned that if you aren't with them, then they see you as against them.
They act like they have the only conduit to god and speak for him a lot.
Some of them put their money where their mouth is. Most do not.
Some of them are truly decent humans. Most are not.

We preach peace, forgiveness, tolerance and love. We practice vengeance, persecution, hatred and domination. My personal beliefs are supported and validated by my convictions.
Oh, and never forget .... my religion is truth, yours is a lie.
— Religion, paraphrased (unknown)

Christianity, with its doctrine of humility, of forgiveness, of love, is incompatible with the state, with its haughtiness, its violence, its punishment, its wars”
