Little Golden Book from my childhood- The text went something like this...
"There was a little girl with a curl right in the middle of her forehead. When she was good she was very very good and when she was bad she was horrid."

That's correct -- it's a Mother Goose rhyme, probably out of a book that had many such rhymes.

Little Golden Book did have a book entitled "Mother Goose" and another titled "Nursery Songs". Most likely the text you are recalling was in the "Mother Goose" book that Little Golden Book had.

It is a nursery rhyme. Little Golden Books has a title full of Mother Goose Nursery Rhymes, so that is probably it.
I probably have the actual book, as I have a collection of Little Golden Books-but they are stored away right now as we remodel. I am certain that you can find it at Amazon, eBay, or your local book store.

I know that poem but, I don't think it's a book. It's just a poem. It could have been in a Golden Book, perhaps with a group of other kids' traditional poems or nursery rhyme-type things. As far as I know, that is the entire poem.

that isnt the actual book, it is a rhyme out of a mother goose book. you know one of those big ones with a bunch of nursery rhymes in it
