You need to increase your cardio to 30-40 minutes 3 to 4 times a week and weight train to lose the weight. Crunches will only firm the muscle underneath the fat.
It is very common to see people doing 50-100 reps of ab exercises. However, performing that many reps makes the exercise more of an aerobics exercise than a true strength training movement. So it is best to keep ab work in the 15-20 rep range. The secret is slow concentrated movements.

Hi.
You can´t train some specific muscle and only drop weight around that muscle. For some reason people seem to believe this but this is not the case. If this was the case people who eat a lot should be thin in the face, right?
The body will utilize it´s reserves of fat when it needs energy. You can increase the rate your body uses energy by training more muscles. You can do that in a gym where you can train muscles such as your chest, lats, traps, biceps, triceps and shoulders that get left out in your current schedule.
Your current program is not bad but if you use more muscles you need more energy which in turn can force your body to use more of its reserves.
You also need to restrict your diet. Just make sure you eat a balanced diet, that way you should be able to avoid any deficiencies in vitamins and minerals.
Eat enough to maintain weight for about 4-6 days, the next 4-6 days you eat less than you need and then repeat until you have reached your target weight.
You can get good help here on Yahoo answers (who ever invented this should get a Nobel price in my humble opinion) but you also need to read each answer critically. There are a lot of myths floating around. You can also look up many things with an on line search on Yahoo.
Good luck!! :-)

0 crunches. Crunches don't address fat loss goals. Crunches are targeted at muscle tissue. If you want to lose the goo, you will need to increase the intensity of your cardio workout. Start running sprints (100m or 200m). Start off easy and then gradually add more sprints each day. Sprinting helps keep your metabolism up all day which means you will burn more calories.
Now, when you get rid of enough fat, and your abs start showing throw, the crunches will have helped. Having a strong core will also help you with your sprints. So do some core work, but don't overboard on crunches alone, there a lot of better exercises out there.

A combination of both cardio and strength training is the key to weight loss. Doing crunches will build more abdominal muscle, not help you to lose weight. Aim for 30-60 minutes of cardio 5-6 days per week and accumulate 90 minutes of strength training during the week with a day of rest between sessions.

Remember that your abs are muscles just like the rest of your body so you should over work them. Only do about 50-60 crunches, if that. If your tummy hurts the next day- REST.
Also remember that you can not spot reduce, only spot tone. To loose weight in your abdomen, you have to loose it all over. You are doing great with the running!

you need to do cardio. here is a formula for any diet training.
Remember its 80% cardio 10% eating right and 10% working out on the problem area. in your case stomach.
do lot of cardio something that gets your heart pumping like running. right after you comeback from running do as many crunches as you can. thats when you burn the most fat.

You can't reduce weight in any spot in particular by doing exercises that target those muscles.
So, your running will do more than your crunches to lose fat on your stomach.
Also, if you do crunches right, you shouldn't do more than 20 for three sets. Add weight if you can do more.
