What is Satan's primary purpose? To torture non-believers? But then he would be doing God's "will" (or more correctly serving as a surrogate for the "good" God who can't be seen as a torturer). This would seem to be a conflict of interest and makes the devil look like an insane, self-defeating fool.
What is Satan's other purpose? To seduce believers into doing evil? But it is the will of the believer that matters. We can't foist responsibility onto the devil, who essentially has no power over us. We sin or don't sin. It makes no sense to say, "The devil made me do it."
What are demons but extensions of Satan? They are perfectly obedient to the epitome of cruelty and evil, as he is ultimately, if unwillingly (unwittingly?), perfectly obedient to God. Something does not add up here.
Hell as a place of fire and torture is apocalyptic metaphor. Will we have bodies to be tortured? And will those bodies be both indestructible and infinitely capable of perceiving pain without ever adapting to it? Who goes to the trouble of designing such wretched "bodies"? (Not Satan, certainly, he can't create anything.) Some theologians have recognized the absurdity of such an idea and have recast hell as a state of mind, infinitely withdrawing into isolation and away from God and everything else, more of an existential, self-inflicted torture. But it is hard for corporeal beings to appreciate the genuine terror of such a prospect. So they stay with the fire motif.
I'd suggest not worrying about hell. God is not out to trick people. It's easy to tell the difference between right and wrong without the use of scapegoats. (Choosing altruism over selfishness is usually a good rule of thumb.) If you're genuinely worried about "going to hell" you'll make an effort to better yourself, or else you're being neurotic. People should be doing God's will because it's right, not because they want a treat or to avoid the stick. Obsessing about your afterlife status just reveals that you're in the game for yourself and not really serving God.
Whatever they are, people are more likely to be surprised finding themselves (and others) in heaven. The ones in hell won't be surprised at all.

Just to make sure you know. This is not a Christian forum it is a forum open to all who follow any kind of spirituality or religion. The majority of which do not believe in the evil satans and demons that those "of the Book" accept as real creatures.

Hi^^
I have studied and performed many things that regard the things you have asked about. I was trained by a few priest how to abolish these things.
When a manifestation actually becomes physical or a very spin chilling thing. It is real as you are real sitting in your chair reading this. The principality that are in this world or not something that the common person is aware of. Or one that does not have these gifts from the Lord. Many do not realize the power of God, Jesus,Holy spirit, or for that matter the Angels.
To me to deny all I have dealt with and seen would be as if I was denying the Lord himself. Consciousness of spiritual manner is not for all. Many say.. no no it is not so.. But I can tell you from my life in the ministry for God. It is very very real.
The bible also tells of these things.
As always,
Seek,Learn,Discover,Love
Peace Be With You

Satan and his demons are real cause they were once angels and then when satan and his demons disobeyed God they were cast out of heaven (Revelation 12:9-12). But hell, hell is just the common grave. There is no fire burning down below waiting on evil people.

Those who take the Bible seriously look at such passages as Isaiah where it talks about the fall of satan, and the book of Daniel in which an angel had a message from God but was buffetted by one of satan's messengers, and Job who was robbed of his health and all his property, possessions, family, etc by satan.
Jesus cast out demons, and He said that we would have that same authority (whether or not we exercise it doesn't negate what He told us).
If demons, etc, are just figurative or psychological, then Jesus was insane for claiming to have seen satan fall like lightning from heaven, and "casting" pretend demons out of people - if so, they are not real.
Jesus talked a LOT about hell, also. He didn't mythicise it, either, but talked straight about it. For instance, He referred to "a place of outer darkness, where there is weeping and gnashing of teeth", etc.
Was Jesus a fool to talk literally about a pretend place? No. Jesus knew what he was talking about, and tried to warn us of the dangers of hell.

The bible is very clear that Satan exists. Jesus said "I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven."
The life of Jesus, historically and spiritually, made it clear that demons exists. He cast out demons from people, sent them into pigs to drown in the lake, and actually met Satan during His forty days in the wilderness.
The idea of Satan and demons is as clear as day, scripturally. There is no logical reason to question it.
HOWEVER, the false doctrine of psychology, self-help, and conventional worldly wisdom puts a fog on our understanding of scripture. Sin becomes "sickness," or "mental illness," Redemption becomes "self-help," and Repentance becomes "recovery." We have to realize that psychology is a doctrine which came from Men, not from God. It began in the late 1800's with people who pointedly denied the divinity of Christ, and declared that the building up of human being to its highest state was the best goal of mankind. This is a lie, and arguably a directly Satanic one.
So if you want to know the Truth, go to the Word. The Word was, the Word Is, and the Word will be. Psychology began in the late 1800's, is a pseudo-science (not a proven science), and is used to deceive people from looking to Christ. God Bless you.

Some Christians need to check out what the word of God says instead of relying on their on
thoughts and beliefs.A real learned Christian will
base their beliefs upon the word of God.I have learned from past belief that I have been
wrong, but the word of God has corrected me and sit me straight.
By-the-way,you are right on the hell Satan, and demons. The bible says they are real.

The bible speaks clearly of the Devil, demons, and Hell. Hell is referred to as the lake of fire. The Devil is referred to as a great angel who turned against God. Demons are refferred to as the fallen ones other angels who sided with Lucifer against God. The Bible doesn't say that these are to be taken as metaphors. It says that they cannot directly interfere with humans, but can manipulate humanity indirectly. The devil wants people to follow him so he can throw it in God's face and say, "see you created them and they turn to me". So many people are in the Devils hands and a lot of them don't even know it. Pray for them!

We only have to look around us or watch the news on television to see that satan is at work in this world today.
He has always been, but as Christians, we have the Spirit of God within us, and the Bible says, that greater is He who is in us, than he who is in the world (meaning satan).
Consecrate on the Lord Jesus Christ, beware of the devil, for he is a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Give God first place in your life, and give the devil no foothold.
