Most communities offer free or very low cost adult education classes for those looking to learn or improve their English language skills. Contact a local community college or the local town hall and see where the nearest class's are. You will be in a classroom of people in the same position..who need help learning English..that way, you don't feel alone and have support. It also allows you to meet people you can practice with outside of class.
Again, many communities offer free English language classes..or very, very cheap.

Indian from India ? You may not be able to improve your English in the United States. If you want to speak good English you have to go to England in Great Britain. But, you may want to pick up the accent of the place where you live, that is the American accent. I would say copy the accent of the Cow Boys'films but it would not worth it. I would say just keep your own accent. I keep my own accent, I am French and I speak English with a French accent. Good luck.

also If you happen to possess and Ipod through Itunes
you can access the itune music store.
and go to the pod cast site
here are educational podcasts avaiable. you must have itune software on your computer which is aviable for free.
Than you download it
on educational site you can find English courses for free download them on to your itune software and ipod. That always helps aI do that with Spanish and Japanese.
