We just built a huge embassy there and I think we are there to stay. What do you think?

we r there to stay i have this notion that the usa is building an empire tryin to "Americanize" the entire world just look at all the places we have invaded places that never even heard of McDonalds now has them think on that guys

1) When peoples who have hated each other for centuries come together to form a peaceful nation without an iron-handed dictator.

2) When an Islamic nation creates a western-style democracy.

Those are the conditions. Given that neither has ever happened in the history of the world, I guess this one will go on awhile.

Iraq has always been at war if not from within at least from without. For over 1200years they have been fighting someone or each other why do you think it will end. It will end when we leave and they will go back to fighting Iran, or Syria or Jordan or someone. They are a warrior people

The war in Iraq will continue, but the U.S. may pull out, depending on who gets elected president in 2008.
