First of all you need to buy a GM otherwise you will own a piece of junk. I would look at a Chevy Cobalt or a Pontiac G6. The Cobalt SS is about 20000 with a 173HP motor, automatic transmission, keyless entry, remote starter, CD player. Or the G6 is about 24000 with a 224HP motor, automatic transmission, CD player, and much more. It's up to you.

the Neon is no more, replaced by the Caliber, The new civic is a nice car, much roomier than the 2006 model. You can customize a Civic anyway you want as there are aftermarket parts galore And they are super dependable. The Eclipse is best with the V6 but you give up fuel millage. Cars are so much better now than just 4-5 years ago and you can get a dependable car from about any manufacturer. A Cobalt SS is a nice quick car too.

I'd have to say the Chrvy Cobalt would be good for you. They are sporty, small, come with 2 doors and are pretty good looking. Or the Ford Focus ZX3, which is a reliable 2 door. Take some test drives at a local dealership...see what you like. Hope this helps ya! BTW: I ride a motorcycle, but when forced to drive, I have a 94 plymouth sundance (just like the neon)

if your're looking for a car that is not pricey i would look at a mazda 3, it's small and fat and it looks cool. if you have the bread to bake then i would suggest a nissan 350 z or a infinitiz g35 coupe. both are great looking cars! DO NOT BUY AMERICAN MADE AUTOMOBILES, please.

HEY YO JAY, look around you. what car's are being driven more on the road? is it a coincidence that driver's are not buying american made cars? they have the worst depriciation of all car's out there, for a reason. they are a piece of crap! if you test drive a cobalt vs a mazda 6 or 3, the moment you sit down on the driver's seat you can tell a difference in the quality.

I have an Acura TL, it is a four door car, but it is fast. I would recommend this car to anyone. It is comfortable, luxurious, and has a very nice stock sound system. This car will cost you in the mid to upper 30's. From what I have seen only Nissan compares to Acura when it comes to horsepower in this price range. Disqualifying American made cars, because I would not own an American car. This is my opinion, for what its worth.

A good middle road between the two cars you mentioned is the new bmw 3 series coupe. Incredible car, and it even comes in awd. Personally, i drive a 2wd 3 series for the summer, and a dodge durango for the winter.

There is no reason not to buy american anymore, they are just as good as anyone else in their class, the guy who stated that is a moron.

If you are buying new I'd go with a Ford Fusion. Those cars are sharp and sporty. Now to answer your question I drive a 90 Mustang LX with a 5.0 and 96 F150 with a 4.9.
