The first article details ONE example of the lengths to which the institution of the FBI is willing to go in their "mission"
Why do we let this gestapo like organization continue to exist and why is it that Mr. Peltier is still in jail?

that he was framed is becoming more and more obvious given the similarity of FBI attitude toward Mafia and "anti-american" political movements as defined by the queen of all homophobes HOOVER...wonder if his gay lovers used that as a nickname for his skills at fellatio?

the actions of the FBI re the mafia (framing etc) are the modus oprerandi of COINTELPRO and I want to know why in light of the heinous documented response and the similarity in methodolgy to the Peltier case if ALL FBI prosections are suspect especially the political ones that rely solely on FBI evidence...can we trust them at all!!!?

As late as November, 2003, the United States Tenth Circuit Court of
Appeals acknowledged that Much of the government’s behavior at the Pine
Ridge Reservation and in its prosecution of Mr. Peltier is to be condemned. The government withheld evidence. It intimidated witnesses. These facts are not disputed!
Human rights organizations worldwide have long called for hearings into
the use of the criminal justice system by the FBI for political purposes.
In the Peltier case, the FBI was shown to have: violated international law by using a false affidavit from an incompetent witness to obtain Mr. Peltier’s extradition from Canada; it withheld critical evidence; it fabricated other evidence; it intimidated witnesses; it hand picked the trail judge; it prejudiced the jury against the American Indian Movement, in general, and Mr. Peltier in particular. The FBI did all this to ensure that Leonard Peltier, an innocent man, would pay the collective price for the deaths of two FBI agents in 1975

If I understand you correctly, the the federal government should release a person who is completely unrelated to to the 1965 case. I am lost as to why that would be justifiable. Not only is it a case of two wrongs don't make a right, releasing Mr. Peltier will not in any way atone for the 1965 issue.

Your link in favor of freeing Leonard Pelter does not even claim he is not guilt. Criminal behavior by one party does not excuse criminal behavior by others. Punish ALL the guilty parties. Don't release one guilty party because someone else is also guilty.
