Im 17 years old and will be moving to Australia in 8days. Was just wondering if im legal to start learning to drive there and what is the age limit?
Also if your from there or have been there whats it like?

The laws just changed on the 1 July

you can now be 16 to apply for a learners license

If you are just moving here you will need to take in proof of living here - such as bank statement with your address on it, mobile phone account, medicare card - you are too young to be renting your own place so rental lease, power and phone may be out of the question.
Just take as much ID as possible - they are very picky and will send you away if you don't have all your items on you....

The driving age is 16, the age of consent is 16, the voting and drinking ages are both 18. Australia's a great place to live.

You are old enough to get your license in QLD, but I think in most places in Australia you have to have lived in that State or Territory for 3 months before you can start to get your license.
QLD is very nice, There is alot to do there. have fun
